Shri Shivaji Desai is Joint Commissioner Pune. An M.Sc.(Agri.) and L.LB, shri Shivaji joined FDA in 1989 as Food inspector. He has worked at Bhandara, Wardha, Ratanagiri, Pune, Ahamadnagar as a Food Inspector. In 2006 he was promoted as Food Supervisor, and then in 2011 promoted as Assistant Commissioner.
In 2014 again promoted as Joint Commissiner at Nagpur. Presently working as Joint Commissiner Pune. He performed a major role in detection of synthetic milk racket at Phalatan-Baramati area in Satara dist in 2009. Till today he has decided 378 cases and imposed penalty of Rs.62,75,346/- against defaulters.
