Manu Anand became Chairman of PepsiCo's India Region in January 2011. In this role he is responsible for the company's Beverage and Foods businesses in India and neighboring countries.
Manu joined PepsiCo in 1994 as CFO, Frito-Lay India, and in 1998 assumed the role of Managing Director of Frito-Lay Business of PepsiCo India Holdings Ltd. and led the company through an exciting phase of rapid growth.
From 2007 till end 2010, Manu was General Manager, South East Asia Business Unit of PepsiCo since 2007, overseeing the Beverage and Foods Businesses in the countries of Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Pacific Isles.
After completing schooling from Mayo College in 1975, Manu graduated from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi in 1978 with Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Physics, and then completed his Chartered Accountancy.
Prior to joining PepsiCo, Manu worked with ICI India Ltd. from1983 and held a number of Finance assignments with them till he left in 1994.
Manu is married to Rajika and has two sons Varun aged 21, and Adhiraaj aged 18. His hobbies include reading and playing golf.
