4th National Convention & Awards on Business of Restaurant
Ms. Rivoli Sinha
Founder & Director, Joost Juice Bars
"The juice segment in India is still an unorganised market. I am part of a very niche crowd which encourages being healthy. And if I look at the competition in the market, I honestly feel that I do not have a real competitor in the market."
While my trip to Australia in August 2008, I came across the first Boost juice parlours and realised it as an interesting opportunity to start in India as I could foresee the need of a healthy beverage segment then. Hence, I introduced Joost Juice in 2011.
Rivoli was looking to move back to India after being abroad for some time. Her education took her to Switzerland and the USA, which then followed with work and marriage. It soon became clear that Boost would become the lure to move her home that she could not refuse. It was a fresh product with an even fresher face, and she knew the business idea had tremendous potential to fill the gap in the organized market for fresh and healthy drinks. The Boost concept continued to grow on them as they found they shared the same passion and energy that the brand is built on, which they strongly believed is key for any business to succeed.
Rivoli and her husband Dev Agarwal began to undertake the application process and in late 2011 signed the master franchise Agreement. All of a sudden an entrepreneurs small idea after ordering a smoothie at Darling Harbour started taking shape with the first Joost store opening.
