Shri Siraj Hussain is an IAS officer of 1979 batch. He has specialized in Higher Education and Food Management. He has served the Government of India in various capacitiesbut he has been mostly involved with the Food Management in various capacity and was instrumental in putting up the scheme Private Entrepreneurs Guarantee Scheme 2010. He has also served as Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard University, Delhi. Presently he is Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industry.
