Vinesh Johny is the co-founder and Executive Pastry Chef of Lavonne Academy of Baking Science & Pastry Arts, Bangalore. Vinesh worked with multiple luxury properties in India, in various capacities, before he found his calling to be an educator.
Vinesh established India's first international specialised baking academy (affiliated to City & Guilds, London), in 2012, at the age of 24, with the aim of making pastry arts a mainstream career choice. He was on the inaugural Forbes '30 Under 30 Asia' list in 2016 and made it to the 'All Star Alumni' list in 2017. Vinesh is one of CNN’s '20 Under 40' this year. He is a World Skills Expert and the ex-officio chairman of the Pastry Council of India.
As an educator, Vinesh is known best for his engaging personality and his non-conformity to old-school methods of teaching. He owns an award winning patisserie under the same brand.
