Mr. Chander K. BaljeeChairman & Managing Director, Royal Orchid Hotels
Mr. Chander K. Baljee is the Chairman & Managing Director of Royal Orchid Hotels Limited, a widely held Public Limited Company which is presently operating 30 hotels, across India and East Africa. Mr. Baljee started his career with the family business in Shimla and has more than four decades of experience in the hospitality industry. The group currently operates 30 hotels in 21 cities across India and East Africa. With 5 more hotels opening in Amritsar, Dehradun, Shanti Nekhetan, Jaipur and Bangalore, under the brand name of Regenta Hotels; the group is expected to be operating 35 hotels in 25 cities by the end of 2015.
His philanthropic nature had led him to set up the Baljee foundation during the mid of his career dedicated towards providing emergency medical aid services and education to school children and students pursuing skills development in hotel management in Bangalore and in his home town, Shimla. Having achieved a Pan-India presence, Mr. Baljee looks forward to achieving 4000 keys through management contracts and growth in Tier 1, 2 and 3 cities through brands like . By the year 2020 he envisions a portfolio of 100 hotels across India and key gateways across the world. With this belief he is spearheading the third venture in Africa and exploring Africa and neighboring countries like South East Asia.
