Mr. Pawan Agarwal is the Chief Executive Officer of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

Mr. Agarwal, is a 1985 batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre.

Prior to his responsibility as the CEO of food safety regulator, Mr. Agarwal was Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.

Mr. Agarwal is an Electrical Engineer from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
