Chef Soumya Goswami is the Chef de Cuisine, The Oberoi Group and Executive Chef, The Oberoi, New Delhi. In this position his responsibilities include the overseeing of cuisine at the 32 hotels and cruisers operated by The Oberoi Group in India, Mauritius, Indonesia, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. These include the luxury �Oberoi Hotels & Resorts� and the superior first class international �Trident Hotels�. Chef Goswami also supervises the launch of new restaurants at existing hotels or within new properties.

Listed among �India�s Hottest Young Executives � Corporate High-fliers to Watch� by the Business Today magazine, Chef Goswami has been a part of the strategic team providing inputs and support for the launch of eight restaurants, four hotels and two cruise liners. He has also assisted in the opening of The Oberoi Group�s new luxury resorts in India � The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur, The Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambore, Cruiser called MV Vrinda near Kochi, Trident Gurgaon as well as the Oberoi Zahra on the Nile and The Oberoi Patisserie and Delicatessen at The Oberoi, New Delhi.

The Indian Government from time to time invites Chef Goswami to participate in various �Incredible India� campaigns around the world to showcase modern Indian cuisines. Recently he catered to 5000 guests in Berlin where he meticulously conjured up a coastal seafood gourmet meal.

Chef Goswami is a an active participant in all new projects of The Oberoi Group and works closely with the Executive Chairman and the Project Development team in conceptualising, designing, constructing and pre-opening all new hotels.

In 2010 he was conferred �The Chef of the Year� by the prestigious Hotelier Magazine. Through the years Chef Goswami has gone back to OCLD frequently to share his experiences with the students to enhance their learning. He works closely with the OCLD faculty to enhance their curriculum and ensure it changes with the times and demands of our hotel guests.

A photographer by hobby, Chef Goswami plans to launch a cookbook next year with pictures shot by him.
