Mr. Hemendra Mathur
Managing Director, SEAF India Investment Advisors

Mr. Mathur works as Managing Director for SEAF India Investment Advisors, managing a sector dedicated to private equity fund for food and agribusiness sector called �SEAF India Agribusiness Fund�. The Fund invests in growth capital in small and mid-sized enterprises in the food supply chain. In addition, Mr. Mathur is associated with many mentoring and incubator networks for start-ups across a range of sectors.

Prior to working for SEAF, Mr. Mathur has worked with Yes Bank, Rabo India Finance (a 100 percent subsidiary of Rabobank International), KSA Technopak, and ORG MARG (now part of The Nielsen Company).

Mr. Mathur has about 17 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking and private equity. He has a proven track record of providing strategic investment advice to Indian companies, international enterprises and government and multilateral organisations in the sectors pertaining to food, agribusiness, consumer goods and retail. His in-depth knowledge and experience includes consumer behaviour, consumer products� supply chain and the retail environment. He has extensive experience working in India, Europe and South Asia.

He has played an important role in catalysing reforms in the agriculture and food-processing sectors in India. In this capacity, Mr. Mathur has participated in various government-appointed committees, has authored articles in leading business dailies in India and has been invited to address various conferences on these sectors and their reform. In addition, he has developed innovative business models for mapping the market, tracking consumer behaviour, retail roll-out, rural business hubs and sourcing that are widely used by industry leaders.

Mr. Mathur has studied management at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and holds a Bachelor�s degree in Agricultural Engineering from Rajasthan Agricultural University, India.
