Shashie Kumar is Chief Operating Officer, overlooking and heading the retail segment of Brigade Enterprises Limited (BEL).

He is responsible for implementation of business and operation strategies for retail real estate developments of Brigade.

Shashie joined BEL in June 2018, when the brand was looking to expand its portfolio in the retail segment. With over a decade of experience in retail, he has joined the team with a cross-functional experience and cross-sectional industry expertise.

Mr. Kumar is seen as an innovative and results-driven leader focusing on achieving exceptional results in the environment which demands continuous improvement.

He has previously been part of The Phoenix Mills Ltd as President South, responsible for implementation of India’s first ever Omni-channel digital platform for shopping centres. Shashie was committed to improve productivity – higher growth margins, reduced operating cost and improve service quality by producing world class shopping centre environment in India. Over the years, he has been known to build and motivate cross-functional teams that exceed corporates’expectations. He has played a vital role in handling teams like: P&L responsibility, Brand & product development, and strategic & operational planning.

Shashie holds a Master’s in Business Administration from St. Mary’s College of Management, Wellington.

Shashie currently lives in Bangalore with his wife, daughter and son. He loves to listen to Jazz music, read Philosophical books and an occasional practitioner of Yoga.
