Gautam Anand is an accomplished figure in the hospitality industry. He attended Modern School in Delhi and graduated with honors from St. Stephen's College. He is an alumnus of Cornell University and currently serves as a visiting professional there.
He joined ITC in 1980 and gained experience at Sheraton Hotels before becoming the General Manager of ITC Kakatiya in Hyderabad. He later held leadership positions at ITC Maurya in New Delhi and the Divisional Head Office. As Executive Vice President of ITC Hotels, he oversaw quality benchmarking and project completion.
He has made significant contributions to the food and beverage industry, establishing new brands and overseeing the F&B magazine WelcomZest. He is also a historian, blogger, and co-founder of the Cuisine Society of India.
Outside his professional roles, Gautam is involved in various organizations and initiatives. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his contributions, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Hospitality Council.
Currently, Gautam is co-authoring a book on India's heirloom recipes and is a respected columnist for various publications.
