Akshay Bector

Mr. Akshay Bector is Managing Director of Cremica Food Ind. Ltd. He holds an engineering degree in Industrial and Production fromManipal University. Mr. Bector started his career in 1987 and two years later he set up a modern bread plant, with a career spanning more than 30 years in food business, Mr. Bector has been instrumental in the company’s exponential growth.

Mr. Bector, rapidly expanded the business by setting up a modern bread plant in 1989 followed by joint ventures and arrangements with Mc Donald’s to start the manufacture of liquid condiments, buns and batter and breading premixes. He also facilitated JV with Quaker Oats and EBI Foods Britain to manufacture World Class products in India.

Mr. Bector launched India’s first Vegetarian Mayonnaise, similarly he introduced Indian flavored sandwich Mayonnaise like Tandoori and Mint keeping in mind the Indian palate Cremica Food Ind. Ltd, has set up a 55acre state of the art Food Park in Una (Himachal Pradesh) under the Leadership and Guidance of Mr. Bector. Una Food Park has a primary investment target of INR 120 crore and Secondary Investment worth INR 200 cr. Una Food Park would have a capacity of 30 ton/hour tomato processing plant – the biggest in India His Leadership qualities and Business acumen are well recognized in the Industry. He has served as the Chairman of CII Punjab. He is the founder of YPO Punjab Chapter and currently serving as the Chairman of CII NR Agriculture Council and member of various Government Committees.

With his business acumen and joint ventures, he steered the company’s fortunes with increased business volumes while building on the foundation of quality service and customer focus. He constantly brought in fresh ideas to the table, rejuvenated the service list through innovations and built strong brand equity amongst the key stakeholders.
