Hitesh Sangwan heads the Food and Beverage operations at The Leela Ambience Gurugram. Hitesh comes with over 12 years of experience in the hotel industry, with primary focus on quality of service in the Food & Beverage department and increasing the visibility of the restaurants.
During his college days, Hitesh topped in food & beverage at IHM Kolkata and started his career as a management trainee with Taj Hotels in Bangalore in 2007. His four years at Taj MG Road Bangalore enriched him with multiple skills while he managed the restaurants and bar before taking additional responsibilities in banquet sales.
In May 2014, Hitesh joined The Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts as Asst. F&B Manager of The Leela Palace Bengaluru. He primarily focused on service excellence in all F&B areas of the hotel and used his expertise in enhancing the hotel's beverage program. He was soon identified to head the F&B division of The Leela Palace Chennai as Food and Beverage Manager in Nov 2015. Under his leadership, all three restaurants of the hotel won multiple awards and the division showcased the best financial results since the hotel's opening.
Hitesh leads a team of over 150 employees at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences and has crossed the benchmark in terms of revenue and profitability of the F&B division in the last 10 financial years.
An ex-football player, Hitesh is also a think tank when it comes to marketing initiatives/activities. He balances his free time between family and his love for sports.
