Oscar Balcon is an Italian citizen with deep roots in the Emilia Romagna region, the land of his motherand his mother’s extended family since generations. He has been in love with the food of the Emilia Romagna since childhood and indulged tasting it every day ever since. Professionally, Oscar pursued a career as a banker (just like Mr Pellegrino Artusi in his younger years). Together with his family he worked and lived in Italy, Switzerland, France, the Americas, the Caribbean, Asia and India. After retiring from a successful career in corporate life he is now promoting ARTUSI Ristorante. Apart from good food Oscar is also very passionate about Italian fine wines which he has been collecting with dedication for many years. He is very proud that his two Italian chefs too hail from his native region, the Emilia Romagna region in Italy, and that their team of local chefs is incredible talented, dedicated and full of passion.
