Where Contemporary meets History

Tell us something about your journey in the food service sector.

Well, much like the majority of the world, it was the foodie in me that wanted to share the joy of munching down good food in great company. But the genesis of my journey started from a thought to provide a setting that was as distinct in ambience and personality that took dining up an eccentric notch. The foundation stones were laid after my time with 'Masakali' known for its speciality in Awadh cuisine, and 'The Pink Room' in Hauz Khas village. Both experiences combined acquainted me with 'nightlife' and everything that came with it. That’s how the spirit of providing spirits was kindled in me.

What was the inspiration behind Molecule Air Bar?

The most redefining time in human history i.e World War II was an inspiration.  All the tales and lore of the era have had a profound influence in my life and I wanted my patrons to immerse themselves in the vibe of a time that echoes in the sands of time to be truly alive in a space where the contemporary meets the historical. I always had the fascination when I was a school boy with the era of World War II coupled with the affinity towards chemical mixology and knowledge of the elements of the periodic tables which lead me to coin the name 'Molecule.'

What‘s so unique about Molecule?

Molecule is made up of Atoms (Food, Drinks, Interiors and Music) that are held together by chemical bonds. These bonds are formed as a result of sharing and exchanging of ideas among our team. Molecule under one roof gives you an ultimate experience of Finest Air Bar, Molecular Kitchen and freshly brewed beers straight from the brewery. Gurugram as a destination is quite a favourite among corporate, youngsters, family and youth, and when there appears a place which has something to offer to all – it is called Molecule. We are particularly known for our excellence in the service and culinary skills topped with masterfully brewed beers and an extensive selection of spirits.

How is the customers’ response?

When I happen to go through a few posts on social media it makes me smile. We had humble beginning, so it's always surreal to see patrons having the ball of a time on the dance floor so much so that some faces have become familiar week in and week out. And that's always heart-warming to see.
