Pa Pa Ya: The Pan-Asian Bistro Restaurant
Pa Pa Ya: The Pan-Asian Bistro Restaurant

Pa Pa Ya is a modern Asian bistro and tapas bar from the House of Massive Restaurants which is best described as a chic, modern and radical reinterpretation of Asian cuisine. Located at Palladium Mall, Lower Parel Mumbai, the restaurant is headed by Zorawar Kalra and mentored by his illustrious father and Czar of Indian Cuisine - Jiggs Kalra.

Pa Pa Ya is a high energy dining concept that encapsulates all the five senses into the dining experience. The philosophy behind Pa Pa Ya is simple-present Asian food and drink with a twist. This is done through a mix of cutting edge cooking techniques such as molecular gastronomy and mixology, which has been used throughout the menu wherever it genuinely adds value, in a sense for it to be a combination of art and science” shared Zorawar Kalra, Owner at Pa Pa Ya.

Spread in an area of approx 2,300 sq ft, the restaurant covers only one floor with its modern, cutting edge interior design that relies on advanced culinary techniques like molecular gastronomy.

The restaurant design represents its philosophy that even showcased by its cuisines, where various cuboids in the shape of molecules are spread across the restaurant walls and ceilings, growing organically in every nook and corner, giving its interior an impressive yet luring invent, defining an exclusive design architecture.

The design also extensively uses the contemporary technique of 3D spatial mapping to create a live, dynamic restaurant ambiance, rather than the static walls that most restaurants have. All the contents are custom made by a special visual art team and is meant to immerse further into an exhilarating dining experience.

Significantly, the restaurant menu has been made after months of research, attention given to minute details, creating unique flavour profiles to each dish served. The Tapas style food presents a unique ability for the diners to enjoy a vast range of dishes in the right portion size, creating a true sensory dining experience.

Using organic and fresh produce along with the finest ingredients sourced from the region of origin throughout Asia, in their most authentic form, ensures the freshness and exclusivity of the expansive menu, maintained at all times. The dessert section has been recreated, presenting some of the most iconic desserts from the Asian Continent. The restaurant also offers a holistic dining experience and showcases a range of cocktails in its signature beverage section.

It has given the restaurant a complete futuristic look, with everyone dining here talking about its interiors and the high quality, cutting edge, progressive cuisine served. Thus, it took 3-4 months to finish this project.
