His recipes have cut across the language barrier as he empowers his fans through his 200+ best-selling cookbooks that are available in 7 different languages.
His 24X7 Food & Lifestyle channel – FOODFOOD, is a first of its kind venture by any Chef in India. A self-confessed gadget freak, Sanjeev channeled his love for technology to create Wonderchef, a premier cookware and kitchen appliances brand. In addition to Wonderchef, he is also associated with Klove Chef, a voice design company, which has developed recipe skills for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant aptly called Sanjeev Kapoor Smart Recipes.
Last year, he launched the Sanjeevkapooracademy.com, an online academy specifically created to mentor and enable budding chefs to draw inspiration and insights from Sanjeev’s own journey and start their own food businesses from home.
In 2017, Sanjeev was honored with the highest civilian award, The Padma Shree, for his culinary contribution and putting Indian cuisine on the world map. He is also on the panel of the Ministry of Tourism and on the board of Singapore Airlines International Culinary Panel along with the brightest names from the culinary world across the global culinary capitals
Today, the Chef’s social media boasts of a massive following ofover 20 million followers and subscribers. Adding to this, his YouTube channel, sanjeevkapoorkhazana, has garnered over 1 billion video views.
A philanthropist at heart, Chef Kapoor spends a lot of his time giving back to society. Throughout the lockdown, he dedicated himself to arranging foods for doctors, medical staff, police staff, poor people, migrant labour, etc. He also has a long-standing association with Akshaya Patra -the world’s largest NGO-run mid-day meal programme that serves wholesome school lunches to over 1.7 million children in 14,702 schools across 12 states in India. In collaboration with the HRD ministry, Sanjeev is also structuring and designing an exclusive menu for the students of all the 598 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) across India. He also works closely with autistic children and helps the cause by supporting NGO “Forum for Autism” for over 12 years.
